"For a New America"
Education Policy
Children are the future of America, and as such it is vital that we foster a supportive and effective learning environment for all of them regardless of race, station, gender, or any other factor. Right now, schools are underfunded, teachers are underpaid, and student loans run rampant, all of which contribute to an education sector that isn’t doing what it could and should. In addition, I strongly believe that discrimination along any lines is unacceptable, and cannot be allowed to continue. However, there is a solution.

Government funding for education is a positive, and we promise that government funding for public schools will not be significantly reduced. In addition, we will encourage private spending to boost education for students in two ways. The first is providing tax breaks and other incentives to businesses in return for helping to fund public schools and the employees that work there. Right now, only 1% of public schools in America receive funding from private sources, but when I am elected, I promise to increase private spending towards public education. In addition, I would also use tax breaks and subsidies to continue to encourage private student loans, which would help the loan crisis without shelling out trillions of government dollars. Education is a vital issue, and it deserves a comprehensive and realistic solution.
